My guess is you weren’t expecting to see a photograph of a Waitrose store on my website, but this is the venue for my next pop-up restaurant!
It will be the latest of my supper clubs promoted by WeFiFo, whom I’ve written about before—most recently when I was on BBC Radio Surrey with them. WeFiFo have begun a collaboration with Waitrose across the country—and I am one of the first cooks to be invited to take part.
On the evening of the 10th of July the in-store coffee shop will be transformed into an informal restaurant, with two long tables at which guests will enjoy an Indonesian-inspired feast. The meal will be served, in convivial Indonesian-style: you help yourself from serving platters in the middle of the table, very much like the modern way of sharing plates.
I will cook all the food in the store’s kitchen, using only ingredients bought from Waitrose. I have chosen dishes that fit the brief, but I promise that everything will be as tasty and original as you have come to expect of my cooking.
Unusually for my supper clubs, the price of £45 includes wine: a welcome glass of prosecco, then a selection of different white and red wines chosen by Waitrose’s wine experts to complement the different dishes.
I do hope you’ll come along and enjoy a Waitrose café like never before. It will be fun! Please book through the WeFiFo website. Click here to go to relevant event page.
If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact me.
